Gov. Fallin proclaims May 19th to July 28th "Tulsa City-County Library Summer Reading Months"!
Summer is the perfect time to read for the fun of it, and the Tulsa City-County Library Summer Reading Program is the perfect way to do it. The Summer Reading Program motivates and rewards young readers while also offering fun and educational programming!

Fun & Events: Check out the Summer Reading Program Event Guide to learn about hundreds of fun, interactive and educational events and activities taking place at library locations throughout the summer. Detailed performer and event descriptions.
How to Sign up: Starting Monday May 21, 2012, pick up a reading log at any library location and use it to record all of the awesome books you read this summer. Be sure you bring your reading log with you every time you come to the library!
Ages & Grades: Children birth through entering the 5th grade can join the Children’s Summer Reading Program.Young children can have books read to them. If you are going into the 6th grade, or are older, learn about the Tween & Teen Summer Reading Program.
How it Works: Make four visits to the library and read 8 books to earn a Buddy Bookworm medal of achievement and a book of coupons for food and entertainment. Read 12 more books, for a total of 20, and earn a mini bat plushie! Prizes will be awarded June 18th through July 28th.

Grand Prizes: Completing the Summer Reading Program gives you a chance to win amazing grand prizes. If you have completed kindergarten or are in first through entering fifth grade you can enter the grand prize drawing. The drawing takes place in early August. Winners will be notified by mail.
