Hello, A Home for Bird- cover

Tito Puente, Mambo King by Monica Brown and illustrated by Rafael Lopez

Every second-grader in Tulsa County schools will receive a free copy of this beautifully illustrated book. Tito Puente made music his entire life (1923-2000), bringing the Latin rhythms of mambo, salsa, and cha-cha to the masses. In this bilingual celebration of Puente’s life and music, readers will experience why he was so beloved – and will be inspired by the exuberant, energetic, and colorful illustrations.
