Sequoyah Children's Book Award Winners

The Sequoyah Children's Book Award Program, sponsored by the Oklahoma Library Association, encourages boys and girls of Oklahoma to read books of literary quality.

The children of Oklahoma vote for the book which they like best.  These books are from a master list of notable books complied annually by the Sequoyah Children's Book Award Committee.  The award is presented to the winning author by two Oklahoma school children at the annual meeting of the Oklahoma Library Association.
